Pre-Care Instructions

PRF Scalp Boost (Full Coverage)

To help you get the best results from your PRF Scalp Boost (Full Coverage) treatment, please review and follow the pre-care checklist below.

Prior to your appointment

  • Wash your hair the night before or morning of treatment. Arrive with a clean scalp free of products (no gel, spray, or oils).
  • Stay well hydrated for 2–3 days prior; drink plenty of water to optimize your blood draw.
  • Eat a light meal before your appointment.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment.
  • If medically safe, avoid NSAIDs or blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen) for 3–5 days before your procedure.
  • Do not color, chemically treat, or perm your hair within 3 days prior to your session.
  • Notify your provider of any recent illness, infection, or changes in medication.

What to expect

  • You may experience mild scalp tenderness, redness, or swelling around the injection sites β€” this usually eases within 1–3 days.
  • It's normal to see a little pinpoint bleeding or light bruising at injection areas, which fades quickly.
  • Some clients notice a gentle feeling of scalp tightness or slight pressure for a day or two as part of the healing process.
  • A short "shedding phase" can occur as older hairs make way for new, healthier growth.
  • Results develop gradually β€” with fuller, thicker hair becoming noticeable over several months and a series of treatments.
