To help you get the best results from your Microneedling + PRF (Vampire Facial) treatment, please review and follow the post-care checklist below.
After your appointment
- Do not use active skincare such as acids, retinoids, or exfoliants at least 48 hours after treatment.
- Avoid direct sunlight for 24 hours. No tanning beds. Always apply sunscreen once healing begins.
- Do not go swimming, use hot tubs, or submerge the treated area in water for at least 24 hours.
- Avoid exercise, sweating, or strenuous activity for the first 24 hours.
- Expect redness, mild swelling, and sensitivity for 24β48 hours.
- Use only gentle, hydrating skincare.
- Do not pick, scratch, or exfoliate the treated area while healing.
- Do not wash your face or apply any skincare for at least 12 hours to allow PRF to fully absorb.
- Do not apply ice or cold compresses β this can reduce the effectiveness of PRF.
- Avoid NSAIDs such as ibuprofen or aspirin for 24β48 hours (Tylenol is okay) to avoid blunting the healing response.
What to expect
- Most clients resume their usual activities within 24 hours, with a healthy pink glow that may last up to 3 days.
- You may notice mild redness or sensitivity, similar to a light sun-kissed look β this typically fades within 24β48 hours.
- Tiny pinpoint marks or light flaking can appear as your skin renews itself β these shed naturally in just a few days.
- Your skin may feel a little tighter or drier at first, a normal part of the healing process leading to fresh, smooth results.
- A light golden or tacky film may remain on the skin for several hours β this is the PRF working and is normal.
- Because PRF is your own biologic material, there is no risk of allergy, and healing is often faster and more complete than microneedling alone.
- Improvements often become visible within 1β2 weeks, with optimal results building after a series of treatments.
