To help you get the best results from your Under Eye Filler with ezGel treatment, please review and follow the pre-care checklist below.
One week before
- Discontinue NSAIDs, fish oil (>1,000 mg), vitamin E, ginkgo, and ginseng unless your physician says otherwise.
- Avoid alcohol for 48 hours before treatment.
- Do not start new retinoids, acids, or aggressive exfoliants this week.
- Avoid booking within two weeks of a major event β bruising and swelling may last 7β14 days.
- Notify the clinic immediately if a cold sore, breakout, or illness develops β treatment will be deferred.
72 hours before
- Avoid vigorous exercise and prolonged sun exposure to the face.
- Drink at least 2 liters of water daily.
- Discontinue topical retinoids in treatment zones.
Day of treatment
- Arrive with clean under-eye skin β no makeup, concealer, eye cream, or sunscreen.
- Eat a full meal 2β3 hours before your visit β do not arrive fasted.
- Drink at least 64 oz of water the day before and day of your appointment.
- Wear comfortable clothing; avoid tight collars if blood draw is from the arm.
- Leave contact lenses at home if treating the under-eye area.
Notify your provider if
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy.
- You have a bleeding disorder, active infection, or history of keloid scarring.
- You have used isotretinoin (Accutane) within the past 6 months.
- You have an active eye infection, stye, or recent eye procedure.
- You are iron-deficient or anemic β PRF results may be less optimal.
- You are sick, recently finished antibiotics, or have an active infection β reschedule.
What to expect
- A small blood draw from your arm prepares your PRF, similar to a routine lab draw.
- The under-eye area will be numbed with topical anesthetic for comfort.
- Because PRF is your own biologic material, there is no allergy risk.
- A series of 2β3 treatments spaced 4β6 weeks apart is typically recommended.
